The North Bay nonprofit, Compassionate Living, will hold its second annual Sonoma County VegFest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Finley Community Center.
The festival is an indoor-outdoor celebration of compassionate living and eating featuring vegan cooking demonstrations, food samples, a film showing, speakers and a kids’ area.
Food vendors include Grindstone Bakery and chocolatier Obsessive Confection Disorder. Lunch choices include local vegan favorites such as Seed on the Go food truck, Chalk Hill Cookery of Healdsburg and Muir’s Tea Room of Sebastopol.
Tickets are $5, kids under 13 are free. 2060 W. College Ave.
