Our vote on this is definitely YES! We spend 4-10 hours each week with agents from other companies as well as Pacific Union. The purpose of this is to help our Buyers identify and locate potential properties before they go on the open market. We also use these meetings to help our Sellers by pre-promoting their homes before they hit the market. Our objective in this is to help create a demand for the property and maximize the attention it gets from day 1 on the market. Agents who do not network waste valuable time on the market trying to create this momentum. Research shows that the longer your property is on the market the lower your sales price will be. So we know that we are creating real value for our Sellers and Buyers.
What are NORBAR Marketing Meetings?
The North Bay Association of REALTORS™ is our local professional organization and they arrange meetings in all the major towns for agents to meet and ‘make market’ for their clients. We regularly attend in Sonoma (includes Kenwood & Glen Ellen), Healdsburg (includes Cloverdale & Geyserville, some Windsor), Santa Rosa, Sebastopol (includes Graton, Occidental and some Forestville) and Petaluma (includes Penngrove).

Marketing Masters– this is an invitation-only group of 24 of the top REALTORS™ in Sonoma County. We meet weekly and serve each other and our respective clients by offering feedback on all listings. When you list your home with our team at Premier Country Estates, we make it available to all the other Marketing Masters. They tour your home and give us a one page written feedback sheet, with their impressions of how well the property shows, it’s key benefits & challenges, marketing suggestions and professional price opinions. This is hugely valuable to us and our clients and a service which only a Marketing Master can offer. Best of all, these agents represent all the great brokerages in Sonoma County and they become our ambassador into these organizations, So when a member from Coldwell Banker goes to the CB sales meeting and one of their agents is looking for a home like yours, he’ll probably say, ‘Call Lisa Thomas because she just listed something like that!’
Luxury Property Agent Network– I found Marketing Masters so valuable for my clients that I decided, along with another colleague, to form this second group. Again, this is about 16 of the top agents in the county but we only invite those who specialize in high end property. Our guideline is $2 million and above but we also tour selected listings in the $1-$2 million range. This is a specialized endeavor because these properties are generally shown ONLY when the listing agent is present. It’s hard for us, as listing agents, to open up a house every time an agent wants to preview it (i.e. come without a buyer) so we devised this special ‘extra’ effort to enable us to see these rare and wonderful properties as a group. We meet once a month and complete feedback sheets on every listing.
Pacific Union meetings – one of the reasons we work for Pacific Union is the agents who work with us. We are the fastest growing real estate brokerage in the county, one of the top ten in the country and have number one market position in the $1 million + market sector. We do this with just about half the number of agents of our largest rival.
